Heavy Equipment & Truck Detailer

The Heavy Equipment & Truck Detailer will be responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and overall presentation of our fleet - including triaxle dump trucks, lowboys, and yellow iron equipment.The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, have experience with cleaning procedures for large equipment, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Experience with aluminum polishing is a major plus and will be considered a valued bonus skill.Duties and Responsibilities -Wash, clean, and detail the exterior and interior of trucks and heavy equipmentUse Pressure washers, degreasers, and cleaning chemicals effectivelyRemove buildup of dirt, oil, grease, concrete, or asphalt from machineryApply protective waxes or coatings where applicableMaintain clean work areas and organize detailing suppliesPerform basic inspections of leaks or damage during cleaningCoordinate with shop and fleet managers to prioritize detailing tasksAssist with general upkeep and presentation of equipment on the yardFollow all company safety procedures and PPE requirementsKeep track of products used and assist in supply restockSkills and Abilities - Must have prior experience detailing or washing heavy trucks and equipmentFamiliarity with different cleaning and tools (foamers, degreasers, pressure washers)Experience with aluminum polishing - requiredAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and pride in finished workAbility to follow direction and work with minimal supervisionPhysical ability to lift and move equipment and climb on machinery safelyCDL or experience operating equipment for repositioning on yard a plusExperience with light maintenance or minor touch-up repairs a plusAn Equal Opportunity EmployerAt LPX Group and our family of brands (Louisville Paving and Construction, Pace Contracting, Material Transfer, Bluegrass Testing and Bluegrass Blasting), we take pride in being an Equal Opportunity Employer and, as such, we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis covered by appropriate law.
