Senior Computational Linguist

Linguists will help build out the NLU workflows and workstreams required by defining and delivering data annotation pipelines, annotation guidelines, golden datasets, training datasets, evaluation criteria, process improvements, upskilling programs, etc. You would be working on the following work streams: language modelingbuilding test and evaluation training setsevaluation and analysis of product featuresrules engine, tweaking the engine for the model outputstriage multimodal features, chatbot experiences, packing the AI into glassesThe role of the computational linguist is to help develop and improve our client's NLP/NLU systems. Tasks may include but are not limited to:Annotating and reviewing linguistic data - part of speech annotation, semantic annotation, phonetic transcriptionCollect data and perform data analysisLabeling text for disambiguation, and (inverse) text normalizationEvaluating current system outputs, detecting incidental and systemic errors and providing solutionsTranslation and localization tasksCreating and evaluating training and test setsPrompt engineering Minimum Requirements:Native speaker of the target language and fluent in EnglishExperience in using, adapting and creating scripts in PythonKnowledge of relational databases and using, adapting and creating SQL queriesExperience in annotation workKnowledge of semantics, syntax, morphology or lexicographyExcellent oral and written communication skillsAttention to detail and good organizational skillsBe able to work independently with confidence and little oversightDesired Skills: Degree in Linguistics or Computational Linguistics, or a degree in computer science with a minor in linguisticsAbility to quickly grasp technical concepts; learn in-house tools
