This role is responsible for developing and managing content for newsletters, donor communications, campaign materials, social media, and advancement-related web pages.The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and communicator with an eye for detail, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for mission-driven work. This position requires a high level of creativity, organization, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging language for a variety of audiences. This is not a management position. Candidates should be ready to both develop and execute strategy.Key Responsibilities:Write, edit, and manage content for newsletters, donor updates, campaign reports, and fundraising materialsCollaborate with advancement leadership and university marketing to align messaging across platformsCreate and schedule email communications, track performance, and manage contact listsDraft copy for advancement-related print pieces, event programs, and web contentSupport alumni and donor engagement efforts through consistent, mission-aligned communicationMaintain an organized content calendar and archive of materialsAssist with social media content and strategy as it relates to advancement and alumni relationsContribute to storytelling efforts that highlight student success, donor impact, and institutional visionQualifications:Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of professional writing or communications experience, preferably in a nonprofit, higher education, or mission-driven settingExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skillsStrong project management skills and attention to detailAbility to collaborate across departments and manage multiple deadlinesA commitment to the mission of Christian higher educationPreferred (Bonus) Skills:Experience with graphic design (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva)Video production and editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)Basic photography skillsFamiliarity with email marketing platforms and social media toolsExperience working with data in Blackbaud or a similar program Understanding of fundraising or advancement communicationsTo Apply: Please submit a resume, cover letter, and two writing samples.
