CLICK HERE: Military Video Our Three Main Business Groups that you could be assigned to:Building Automation: HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, & Mechanical/Electrical ServicesFire/Life Safety: Fire Alarm, Mass/Emergency Communication, and Sprinkler/SuppressionSecurity: Integrated Surveillance and Access ControlsElectrical InstallerElectrical Installers assist with equipment installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs, and overhauls of building automation systems, fire alarm, or security systems. Activities include installation and check-out of electric and electronic components, conduit, wire, and cable while keeping records and documentation. This position will also provide on-site product and service training to the customer. Why is this so important? Our Electrical Installers ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical systems that underpin Siemens's operations, safety, and success.Responsibilities and learning opportunities include but are not limited to:Install conduit, wire, cable, and devices including panels, sensors, and components for a range of systems, ensuring their proper integrationPerform preventive maintenance and routine inspectionsPerform wiring check-out and assist with system start-upDisconnect and dismantle electric/electronic instruments, panels, sensor, etc.Troubleshoot wiring issuesCoordinate with operations for the timely delivery of materials and supplies to the job siteAdhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and proceduresDesired Military Experience, Backgrounds and/or Aptitude: Civil Engineering (HVAC & Electrician)/ Gas Turbine ElectriciansMechanical/Electrical/Electronic SystemsAutomation/Integration TechniciansNuclear Engineering/Power/Energy & Nuclear Plant OperatorSatellite/Radar SystemsComm TechsFire Control NavaidsSubmarine Electronics/Computer TechsAvionics Systems & more!You'll make an immediate impact by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Only active military personnel will be considered for this internship and program acceptance requires military approvalSelected candidates will continue to be paid under their current wage/benefits provided by the US Military and will not be paid by Siemens directly throughout internship participationHigh school diploma or state-recognized GED requiredDemonstrated experience and/or applied knowledge/aptitude in the following:Electro-mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical codes, requirements, and efficient installation methods and practicesTechnical experience installing conduit and running pipeTechnical experience supporting mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, or other related systemsAbility to read and understand design and construction documentsExperience using Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team membersAbility to work on-site and travel locally as neededLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violationsPreferred Qualifications: U.S. Military experience as an E5 or above preferred (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves)Experience installing low-voltage control systemsAssociate or Bachelor's degree preferredFamiliarity or experience with engineering HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systems preferredReady to create your own journey? Other: Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead.
