Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary Are you a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys designing complex machinery and seeing your work come to life on the production floor? An established manufacturer of high-speed automation and material handling equipment for the food and beverage industry is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and ongoing support of mechanical and automated systems, including robotic applications. This position blends engineering design, hands-on problem solving, and customer support while working cross-functionally to deliver high-quality equipment solutions. Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components and automation equipment Provide technical support to customers before and after equipment installation Review and incorporate customer and vendor mechanical drawings into designs Specify and purchase project-related components Ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements Communicate with vendors regarding technology updates and applications Troubleshoot equipment issues remotely and through on-site support Report to service leadership when performing field-based workSkills & Competencies: Strong independent problem-solving ability Effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers Comfortable working in both office and field environments Knowledge of high/low voltage control systems as they relate to mechanical design Familiarity with pneumatic and air systems Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required Ability to work in environments involving food and beverage productsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of relevant industry experience Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar) Basic understanding of software concepts used in automated processes Strong foundation in product design and mechanical principles (fluids, heat transfer, etc.) Proficient with Microsoft Office applicationsNot ready to apply yet?
