Eleven Recruiting is hiring a Technical Designer for one of our largest private-label fashion apparel clients sitting onsite in Montebello CA five days a week. The ideal candidate has experience developing the fit from the prototype sample to TOP stage to ensure accurate measurements, quality, construction, and overall fit. Experience conducting fit sessions on live models and confirming all details of the garments with the designer. Experience creating POMs that pertain to each garment style, ability to assemble tech packs with detailed sketches/illustrations, garment construction details, and specs on Adobe Illustrator. Candidate needs to have experience in grading the grade rules on various styles specifically woven, spandex, and seamless. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with the team to develop the fit from prototype sample to TOP stage to ensure accurate execution of requested measurements, quality, construction and overall fitConduct fit sessions on live models, review overall fit, and confirm all details of the garment with the Designer for final approvalAbility to assemble tech packs with detailed and technical sketches/illustrations, garment construction details and specs on Adobe Illustrator Creating original POM's that pertain to each to garment styleKnowledgeable in grading and grade rules on various styles with different fabrications (i.e. woven, spandex, seamless)Communicate detailed fit comments and specs of garments to our overseas vendors for approved fit and construction of each fit sampleAble to do pattern corrections ( a plus!) Will work closely with overseas and domestic vendorsWorks closely with design team to translate design intent into product technical specifications.Deliver product to the required technical standardsOther design and sketch projects may be assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proficient using Adobe Illustrator for technical sketches and construction detail instructionsIntermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for email communication Excellent skills in spec'ing, P.O.M call outs and grading skillsExcellent written and communication skillsOutstanding organizational skills and attention to detailsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to make decisions independently and proactivelyExcellent eye for construction and detailAbility to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment under pressure#LI-SW1#LI-OnsiteLocation: Los Angeles, CASeniority Level: Mid-Senior LevelEmployment Type: Full TimeSalary: $90,000 - $100,000
