We are seeking dedicated individuals to perform general semi-skilled laboring tasks under direct supervision.Key Responsibilities:Perform skilled laboring tasks in street sanitationOperate various trucks and heavy equipmentDrive and operate street sweepers, water trucks, trash trucks, dump trucks, and recycling trucksOperate forklifts and drive roll-offs to empty dumpstersMow grass using tractors, mowers, or weed-eatersSand icy or oily streets, shovel snow, rake leavesClean gutters and repair barricadesPerform routine ground maintenance tasksComplete work order and daily report paperworkExecute related tasks as requiredQualifications:Ability to perform the full range of duties with general instruction and supervisionStrong communication skills for interaction with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customersAbility to follow written and verbal instructions effectivelyMust possess and maintain a valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver's LicenseRequirements:Criminal background and driving record checks requiredCome be part of a knowledgeable and amazing work team committed to excellence in serving a thriving and growing community and the commitment to the City's Core Values.
