Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $45.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities to ensure accuracy.Assist with generating financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests in a timely manner.Maintain and update schedules for assets, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.Collaborate with teams to ensure proper allocation and recording of transactions across systems. Requirements: A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and accounting software applications.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certification (CPA or similar) is preferred or in progress.3+ years of experience in accounting or financial operations roles.Familiarity with audit processes and compliance requirements.Experience with nonprofit or grant accounting.
