Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJob Title: Railcar Forklift OperatorDepartment: HandlingReports To: Operations SupervisorPosition Type: Full TimeShift/Schedule: 3rd Shift - 9:30pm to 6:00am - Sunday through ThursdayWage: $20.00+ $1.50 Shift Diff Per HourPurpose of Position Use of power equipment to load and unload product to/from both road vehicles and railcars. Safely move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. Informs supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.Position CompetencyAbility to obtain and maintain a forklift license and rail operation certification . Verbal and written communication skills. Mathematical skills. Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device. Lift up to 50 pounds. Role Expectations Productivity:Meet established productivity standards specific to the account.Understand the stocking strategy (location of product) of the operations building you are assigned.Ensure that product is scanned properly and matches the Item code on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.Follow established loading patterns when loading outbound trailers minimizing over weight situations and product damage.Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.Safety:Follow established Dock Safety practices.Complete the Motorized Equipment Daily Inspection sheet.Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.Perform trailer /container inspections as required prior to unloading/loading.Must have experience and be knowledgeable about Food Safety or willing to receive training in Food Safety.Quality:Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free.Complete all Inbound and Outbound paper work accurately and completely.Report all product damage to your supervisor/manager.Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancy to supervisor/manager.Perform trailer/container inspections as required prior to unloading/loading.Initiative:Knowledge of multiple accounts and/or job functions within given operation.
