JOB SUMMARY The EEO Compliance Program Manager is responsible for coordinating the development and administration of various programs that are implemented by the Office for Access & Title IX (OATIX) at UT Southwestern Medical Center. This position is charged with being a lead investigator, federal contractor compliance program manager, as well as a facilitator for the office's outreach and compliance training efforts. This position conducts investigations into complaints of discrimination and harassment pursuant to federal, state, and local EEO laws and UT Southwestern Medical Center's Equal Opportunity Policies. Moreover, the position has significant responsibility in ensuring institutional compliance with EEO-related state and federal contractor obligations. Experience writing position statements on behalf of corporation or higher education entity to EEOC, Texas Workforce Commission or similar state entity is strongly preferred. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONRequired Education Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Experience 4 years of full-time professional experience conducting EEO compliance and investigations in a government, corporate, or higher education setting. Subject-matter expertise with Title VII, ADA, federal contractor compliance regulations, and related federal and state laws. Experience facilitating educational and training programs regarding discrimination and harassment prevention. Preferred Education Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Licenses and Certifications (SHRM-CP) SHRM Certified Professional Upon Hire JOB DUTIES Serves as a lead investigator into EEO/Civil Rights investigations of workplace and learning environment allegations of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation, and other civil rights violations. Maintains confidential investigation files. Ensures the timely and complete investigations of EO/Civil Rights complaints, including analyzing complaints, developing investigative plans, conducting fact-finding interviews, reviewing documents, conducting related research, preparing any related correspondence, submitting confidential reports, and preparing corporate position statements outlining investigative findings. Meets with individuals and uses independent judgment and initiative to provide conflict resolution and referral options. Uses independent judgment in analyzing ADA accommodation requests to determine eligibility for accommodation in accordance with University policy and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); manages the request for accommodations, including providing requestors with procedural information, working with managers in the interactive process, and communicating accommodation decisions to requestors and management. Responsible for the development, administration, and continued compliance of the university's program(s) related to EEO federal contractor compliance. Assists in collecting and monitoring transactional data for university planning (i.e. hiring, promotion, termination, etc.) and generating related reports for management. Provides technical assistance, advice, coaching, and consultation to individuals and groups regarding conflicts and disputes, as well as policies and practices that might have an adverse impact on a particular group(s). Partners with institutional leaders to develop and implement initiatives that promote the adoption of inclusive strategies to enhance the recruitment and retention of individuals with disabilities and protected veterans in accordance with state and federal law. Leads audits into EEO related statistical disparities and oversees the related audits/investigations of other office staff. Develops and facilitates departmental training for the university community focused on accessibility, discrimination prevention, impartial opportunity, and related topics. Performs other duties as assigned.
