The field surveyor would work closely with Kokosing supervision to provide layout for all facets of highway and building construction. This position would sometimes involve travel during the week beyond the Richmond area depending on the company workloadDuties and Responsibilities:Work with Project Managers, Engineers, and other Team Members to coordinate surveying activities for the projects.Be able to prioritize layout and do it in an efficient and timely mannerProvide input on surveying to satisfy the project's accuracy requirementsCommunicate effectively explaining the layout providedComply with safety regulations, company standards, and government guidelines.Minimum Requirements:Experience working as a surveyor, ideally on construction projects.Proficiency using surveying equipment including levels, robotic instruments, and GPS receiversStrong communication skills and attention to detailBasic computer skills with willingness to learn and expand knowledgeBe willing to learn new surveying techniquesMust be able to climb ladders, work around traffic, and work in all types of weather conditionsMust be able to lift and carry 50 lbsGood driving recordWilling to travelPlease Note: This job description is intended as a general summary of the position; however, the individual will be expected to perform any functions or responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
