Our Houston office (The Woodlands) Risk Assessment, Remediation, and Waste Group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Environmental Geologist or Engineer who is experienced in environmental consulting, developing client relationships, and developing project deliverables from start to finish.Responsibilities Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications; Coordinate and implement project permitting; Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations; Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation; Management of clients; Development of business opportunities; Mentor staff; Manage remediation and spill response projects; and Assist with solid and hazardous waste permittingQualifications: Master or bachelor's degree in Geology or Engineering; Experience working as an environmental consultant with experience in soil and groundwater assessment, investigation, and remediation and with TCEQ's Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP); Commitment to obtain professional registration (P.G. or P.E.) within 1-2 years; Project management experience; Proficient technical writing skills; Proficiency with MS Office programs; Proficient mathematical and computer skills; Experience with groundwater statistical analyses software e.g., Sanitas, a plus; Experience with soil boring software e.g., LogPlot, a plus Experience with AutoCAD, ESRI Arcview a plus; Willingness and ability to travel to project sites out of area (approximately 25% travel, including some overnight stays) and work outside normal work schedule, as needed; Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain successful client relationships; Must be able to satisfy all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements, including obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card; This position requires use of a company vehicle. Candidate must be at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record, and able to safely operate a full-size pickup truck; and Eager to excel as an individual and in a team environment.
