CAR WASH

Land Rover Tacoma, a dealership part of the O'Brien Auto Group is looking for Hourly Technicians. Our technicians will be directly responsible for the repair and diagnosis of incoming vehicles in a professional and timely manner.This position pays from $18 per hour. Medical/Dental/Vision/RX Ancillary Benefits such as Short/Long Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Life Insurance, Spousal/Child coverages 401(k) plus company matchJob Summary:The Car Washer will be directly responsible for the timely and quality cleaning of customer, loaner, company, and inventory vehicles as they are presented to the wash bay. Report to management in the following order: Car wash team leader, valet supervisor, service support manager, assistant service manager, service manager, and general manager.Responsibilities to Include: Vacuuming front and rear passenger areas, including under mats (cargo area on company, loaner, and inventory cars only). Cleaning inside of front windows (inside of all windows on company, loaner, and inventory cars). Wiping down, dusting dash and console areas. Proper rinsing down and sudsing of vehicle with proper care taken in using a clean wash bucket and mitt for paint and separate wash bucket and mitt for lower cladding, wheel wells, tail pipes, etc. Shammy of vehicle with clean shammy on paint and separate cloth on bumpers, door jams, tail pipes, wheel wells, etc. Proper care that all wash mitts, rags, cloths, and shammys are kept clean and free of grit and that all items that may scratch car, i.e. belt buckles, snaps, rivets, etc. are not worn where they could damage the car. Rotate through the car wash stations as directed. Do not get behind the wheel of any vehicle unless you are an authorized driver per upper management. Clean and maintain car was supplies and tools. Maintain overall cleanliness and order of wash bay drive and area. Wear appropriate clothing: long pants, no rivets or odd snaps, belt buckles where they cannot damage vehicles, appropriate shoes or boots, and gloves when appropriate. No loitering in customer waiting room, office, or shop areas of Dealership. Smoking only in designated outside area and on authorized break time. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Regular attendance is essential. Work in cooperative, positive & professional manner with all personnel in the company. Treat members of the public and customers in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner. Maintain professional demeanor while at work. Must conform to company policy regarding non-discrimination and harassment.Equipment/Machines/Tools Typically Used: Pressure washers, steam cleaning equipment, water hoses, buckets, sponges, polishers, cloth rags, hand-held squeeze bottles, and mechanics hand tools. Rubber gloves worn as required.Chemicals: Numerous chemicals are used/handled on a frequent basis. Employee will be trained by their supervisor on the safe handling/use of these substances. Employee will follow all safety directives at all times.Physical Demands: Intermittent standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching; lifting of 50 lbs or less on an occasional basis and carrying of 24 lbs or less on a frequent basis; frequent pushing and pulling, twisting and turning of trunk, reaching and handling of objects; occasional climbing, balancing and crawling.This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, or working conditions associated with the job.
