ControllerLocation: Near Albany, NYSalary Range: $120,000 - $150,000Our well-established manufacturing and services client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a strategic, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with executive leadership to drive operational and financial success.The Controller plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and providing insight that supports long-term business growth.Key Responsibilities of the Controller:Financial Leadership & ReportingPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsAnalyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadershipEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulationsBudgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisLead the annual budgeting process and develop ongoing financial forecastsPartner with department leaders to manage budgets and improve financial performanceSupport strategic planning through financial modeling and scenario analysisCost Accounting & Operations SupportOversee job costing, inventory valuation, and production cost analysisCollaborate closely with operations to improve cost visibility and profitabilityIdentify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunitiesInternal Controls & ComplianceDesign, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assetsEnsure audit readiness and adherence to accounting standards and policiesStrategic Partnership & Team LeadershipServe as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadershipTranslate complex financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholdersLead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team membersJob RequirementsQualifications for the role of Controller:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA or equivalent certification preferred10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience5+ years in a senior-level accounting or financial leadership roleStrong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controlsSolid understanding of GAAPExperience with ERP and financial systems; manufacturing or production environments preferredAdvanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysisProven people leadership and team development experienceStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalismAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environmentTo see a full listing of all our open positions, please visit: Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
