This role focuses on managing receivables, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong client communication. Prior experience in a law firm is a plus, but candidates with solid A/R and collections backgrounds from any industry will be considered.This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys client interaction, and can balance persistence with professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full accounts receivable cycle, including monitoring aging reports and following up on outstanding balancesContact clients via phone and email using professional communication and customer service skillsInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies; perform account reconciliationUpdate and maintain accurate account information in financial and accounting softwarePrepare reports and analyze receivable trends to identify issues or opportunities for improvementCollaborate with internal teams to resolve billing questionsAssist with accounts payable tasks as neededSupport general financial operations within the departmentQualificationsAt least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related finance roleStrong understanding of billing processes and A/R best practicesProficiency with accounting or financial softwareExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to analyze accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and perform accurate calculationsStrong customer service orientation and ability to maintain positive client relationshipsDetail?oriented, organized, and able to work independentlyWork Environment & ScheduleFully on?site in Garden City, NYApproximately 35 hours per weekCollaborative, supportive team environmentCompensation & Benefits$25-$35 per hour, depending on experienceFull benefits package, including:Medical, dental, vision401(k) with matchPaid time off and sick timeLife and disability insuranceFSA/HSA optionsPaid training and opportunities for advancementCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $35.00
