Silver Sides LLC is seeking a qualified Marine & Aviation Fleet Manager near the Jacksonville, Florida area to provide direct leadership and management of marine operations and serve as primary representative overseeing the aircraft, managed by a professional Part 91 flight management provider. The role requires fleet management experience, a high level of organization and communication skills, and working knowledge of maritime regulations, as well as experience managing employees and departmental budget. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel for vessel and aircraft inspections. This full-time, benefitted, year-round position offers an annual salary between $100,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.Position PurposeThe Marine & Aviation Fleet Manager is responsible for the operational oversight, financial management, compliance, and long-term stewardship of the Grassy Creek and Eleven marine fleet and Part 91 aviation program.This role provides direct leadership of marine operations and serves as ownership's primary representative overseeing the third-party aviation management company. While the aircraft is managed by a professional Part 91 flight management provider, this position maintains structured oversight of operational coordination, expense auditing, budgeting, and performance accountability.This is a hands-on operational leadership role. The Fleet Manager is expected to travel regularly to conduct quality control inspections of vessels and periodically review aircraft operations to ensure assets are compliant, fiscally disciplined, operationally efficient, and aligned with ownership standards. The fleet spans the Southeast and Eastern United States, the Bahamas, and additional global locations.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/TasksMarine Fleet Leadership & OperationsProvide leadership and direction to marine personnel, including captains, Fleet Coordinator, and Outpost captain and crew.Oversee hiring of Outpost captain and crew members.Establish operational standards, accountability measures, and performance expectations.Oversee vessel assignment, utilization, lifecycle planning, and replacement strategy.Conduct quality control site visits and in-person inspections of vessels.Develop and implement SOPs for Outpost operations and all fleet maintenance and oversight procedures.Ensure all vessel and vehicle registrations, permits, and regulatory documentation remain current.Submit hurricane plan documentation for the marine fleet as required.Audit and improve operational logistics to increase efficiency and reduce risk.Aviation Program Oversight (Part 91 - Third-Party Managed) This role provides ownership-level oversight and accountability but does not replace the flight management company.Serve as primary liaison between ownership and the contracted aviation management company.Provide structured oversight of daily aircraft operations in coordination with owner travel needs.Partner closely with the Owner's Executive Assistant to align scheduling priorities.Review and audit aviation expenses, maintenance invoices, and monthly operating reports.Monitor inspection schedules, maintenance planning, and capital improvements through the management provider.Ensure aircraft operations remain compliant with Part 91 standards through oversight of the management company.Provide weekly aviation program updates to the Managing Director and leadership team.Financial Management & Budget OversightDevelop and manage annual operating (Opex) and capital (Capex) budgets for marine and aviation programs.Construct and manage annual fleet budgets, including forecasting for planned and emergent repairs.Review and organize incoming invoices for submission to appropriate accounting departments.Audit expenditures for accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with approved budgets.Manage and reconcile Fleet department RAMP card expense reporting.Participate in monthly financial reviews and variance analysis.Compliance, Systems & DocumentationEnsure marine fleet compliance with USCG and applicable maritime regulations.Maintain working knowledge of FAA Part 91 framework to effectively oversee aviation operations.Ensure all EFO data cards and operational checklists are accurate and up to date.Utilize EFO, Google Suite, and Smartsheets to track maintenance schedules, projects, capital initiatives, and operational updates.Maintain comprehensive fleet records and regulatory documentation.Reporting & CommunicationProvide consistent updates to the Managing Director and leadership team.Weekly updates on aviation program.Bi-weekly updates on marine fleet operations.Communicate operational risks, budget variances, and performance issues proactively.Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet-related matters across internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications8+ years of marine fleet management, vessel maintenance, or marine engineering experience.Experience overseeing or coordinating with third-party aviation management providers preferred.Working knowledge of FAA Part 91 operational framework.Strong knowledge of USCG maritime regulations.Demonstrated experience constructing and managing operating and capital budgets.Experience auditing invoices and managing departmental expense reporting.Experience developing SOPs and operational systems.Strong leadership experience, including hiring and managing personnel.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Highly self-directed, analytical, and detail-oriented.Special Position RequirementsMust reside in or be willing to relocate to Florida.Regular travel required for vessel inspections and periodic aircraft oversight (domestic and international).Valid passport for global travel.Valid driver's license.Work RequirementsAbility to lift 50+ pounds.Availability for occasional weekend or non-business-hour operational matters.Ability to work effectively across diverse cultural and international environments.
