Our employee relationship managers support you throughout your engagement, providing career guidance and reemployment assistance.Our client is currently seeking a qualified Network Support Technician to join their team onsite in Bowie, MD and provide end-user support. This tech provides on-site support and project execution within a two-hour radius, resolving end-user issues, and participating in infrastructure projects from hands on planning through final implementation. The ideal candidate must possess a valid driver's license, clean MVR and reliable transportation.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide hands-on support for networking infrastructure across Layers 1-3, including routers, switches, and wireless access pointsInstall, terminate, and troubleshoot cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, low voltage) and related infrastructureSupport and maintain voice systems (VoIP and legacy systems)Manage and triage tickets via ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and communication with end usersLead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, coordinating schedules, resources, and deliverablesConduct routine site visits for preventive maintenance, upgrades, and equipment deploymentsPerform basic network diagnostics and escalate complex issues when necessaryMaintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, cabling maps, and asset inventoriesProvide exceptional on-site and remote customer support for designated areas of client assigned coverageCertificates/Security Clearances/OtherSkills and Qualifications:CCNA certification (current) preferredAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesSkills and Qualifications:CCNA certification (current) preferredMinimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in networking, structured cabling, or voice systemsProject management experience in IT or network infrastructure environmentsProficient in managing and resolving tickets within ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platformExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsProactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environmentExcellent project management and troubleshooting skillsStrong foundation in networking, voice systems, and low voltage infrastructureWage Range:The rate for this position is between $32.25 - $43.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher.
