Property Accountant

A tier-1, publicly traded company in Dallas, TX is looking for a talented Property Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the Director of Operational Accounting, the Property Accountant role will focus on building out monthly financial statements, assist with forecasting and budgeting and help with the preparation of reporting schedules. This is an excellent role for a top performing Property Accountant with at least 1 year of real estate accounting experience looking to work with a major publicly traded company in Dallas. This is a temp-to-hire role, and company is looking to move quickly.ResponsibilitiesReview monthly financial statements including variances to budget and account reconciliations prepared by 3rd party management companiesAssist with forecasting and budgetingPrepare and/or review CAM reconciliationsAnalyze variances in financial statement and provide explanations to managementAssist with internal and external audit requestsReview set up of real estate leases and amendmentAssist with setting up accounting procedures for newly acquired propertiesRequirementsBachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field1+ years of corporate real estate or property accounting a plusReal estate accounting/leasing experience a plusHighly proficient with ExcelYardi experience a plusExcellent communication skills and thrives in a collaborative environmentThis is an excellent role for an entry-level or experienced Property Accountant looking for a new challenge with a top-tier company.
