DescriptionSummary - (All applicants must have prior experience with multi-state, multi-site dispensaries)The District Manager - NJ/PA reports to the Vice President of Retail and is responsible for profitability of multiple dispensaries and their teams within the state. The District Manager will be responsible for leading a team of retail managers throughout the state promoting a forward-thinking approach to achieving operational and service excellence. This person will strive to consistently meet (or exceed) financial and operational expectations with a goal to ultimately drive sales and customer or patient engagement. The District Manager will oversee multiple dispensaries in NJ/PA (with more expansion anticipated), ensuring the region achieves or exceeds all key metrics and goals. This role will serve as the link between the Justice Cannabis Co. brand vision of providing access to consistent high-quality cannabis and cannabis knowledge and the operations of the store. Leadership and Talent ManagementBuild a high-performing dispensary management team by pairing critical talent selection with nuanced region and individual store needsAssess management performance, skill gaps, and career aspirations to develop a leadership pipeline that provides for projected new store openings and revenue growthDevelop, coach, and inspire employees to achieve individual and team goals through regular feedback inclusive of recurring performance discussions and career development planningSustain coaching, training and development initiatives specific to succession planning needsUphold a culture of accountability, people-centeredness and forward-thinking in the performance management of dispensary managersRespond to all manager's questions, concerns or suggestions and communicate resource needs to the Regional Director; provide timelines for resolution and/or implementationRegularly assess store staffing and efficiency for improvement opportunities and workforce planningPartner with Human Resources to investigate and resolve employee relations and employee engagement concerns in a timely mannerDevelop organization plans in support of short-term strategy to monitor and drive the achievement of company and individual performance through KPI's and other metricsRegular travel within the state to visit all assigned dispensaries as well as periodic travel to other states for business meetings and eventsBusiness OperationsParticipate in new store opening project initiatives including staffing, construction, customer experience and inventoryLead dispensary managers in cohesive forecasting, scheduling, outstanding customer service and execution of programs and initiativesAnalyze business metrics to create, implement and communicate action plans that promote growth and continuous improvement of dispensary operationsAchieve sales objectives by creating and monitoring performance of sales and inventory plans, influencing marketing materials, maintaining online platforms and establishing inventory controlsPartner with Regional Buyer to select product line enhancements (cultivators/vendors/products) given regional trends and customer demographics; ensure dispensary management is prepared and resourced to launch enhancementsGather data and insights from individual dispensaries to contribute to strategic plans for the region that address business and competitor riskManage any inspection or audit escalationsCommunicationsTeam Collaboration: Establish and nurture key business partner relationships across Human Resources, Outreach, Compliance, Security, Employees Health & Safety, Marketing, Construction and ITProvide regular updates, feedback, and solutions to corporate retail leadership across all areas of dispensary operationsCollaborate with Compliance and Operations Management to ensure quality and compliance to policies, procedures, and regulationsPatient or Customer ExperienceSet high expectations for exceptional patient experiences that are engaging, educational and personalizedHold patient care management and staff to high expectations and accountable to the measurable results applicableConsulting our customers, listening to their needs and providing an exceptional experience is vital to achieving customer loyaltyLeads by example; passion for coaching, developing, and influencing your teams while driving a profitable multi-unit business.RequirementsEducation and Experience Bachelor's degree required or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in medical cannabis industry is desirable, but not required.Ability to travel 50% 7-9 years of Retail Management Experience, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced environment with multiple site responsibilities Minimum 7 years of retail management experience Minimum 5 years of multi-unit management experience Experience in a dynamic role that combines problem solving, teamwork, technical skills, and customer service Proven success building a high-performance team Hold yourself to a high level of integrity. Position requires frequent reaching into cabinets and displays to show and review product. Ability to maintain a stationary sitting or standing position for up to eight hours a day based on business needs and sales volume; and ability to bend and retrieve products from lower shelves.
