MISSIONThe Training and Development Manager drives organizational performance by building a strong, scalable learning ecosystem that enables employees and leaders to grow, contribute, and perform at their highest level. This role translates Gilson's strategy, values, and institutional knowledge into impactful learning experiences-including robust leadership, sales, and technical training-that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, and business outcomes across regions. The role functions as a strategic learning business partner, owning global leadership and manager development programs, enterprise learning platforms, and the governance required to ensure learning investments are aligned, measurable, and sustainable.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESChampion a global culture of continuous learning and human-centered leadership by modeling curiosity, reflection, ethical leadership, and inclusive practices.Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and stakeholders on leadership development, learning strategy, and change initiatives.Create and execute a multi-year training roadmap and T&D strategies in collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional Talent stakeholders.Translate business and sales priorities and KPIs into practical, behavior-based learning experiences that drive skill development, mindset shifts, and on-the-job application.Develop an effective monitoring and evaluation system to ensure initiative goals are met regarding participation, usage, application, and ROI.Develop, curate, and maintain high-quality learning assets (program guides, digital assets, and facilitator materials).Design, lead, and continuously improve enterprise-wide learning and leadership development programs, including global manager and sales capability initiatives.Lead live or virtual-live learning experiences through direct facilitation or by guiding and supporting subject matter expert (SME) facilitators.Design, create, and maintain Gilson's global training portfolio by utilizing eLearning software to create high-impact, interactive e-learning and leveraging localization software to culturally-aligned and relevant training in multiple languagesCreate and maintain "Train the trainer program" to assist trainers in effective training and provide feedback regarding their content/delivery.Design of curricula for career tracks, in conjunction with Human Resources and individual department management.Partner with commercial leaders to drive sales enablement and technical product training.Oversee learning platforms (LMS, SharePoint, 3rd party pathways). Ensure materials are accessible, current, and localized in multiple languages as required.Manage the strategic and logistical administration of learning programs, including the maintenance of a global training calendar.Oversee all training documentation and training compliance programs. Ensure team members globally have a thorough knowledge of procedures, programs, and policies.Manage the departmental budget and choose/maintain "off-the-shelf" store-bought content to supplement internal builds.JOB REQUIREMENTSEDUCATIONBachelor's DegreeWORK EXPERIENCE10+years of experience designing and leading learning or organizational development strategy at a business level3+ years people leadership or leadership coaching experience2+ years of experience designing eLearning and instructor-led training programsLaboratory experience preferredSKILLS OR KNOWLEDGEMicrosoft Office Suite proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and ExcelExperience with Learning Management SystemsConsistent, exceptional communication skills, both written and verbalMust be able to prepare on-target project deliverables without heavy supervisionMust be comfortable conducting trainings for small and large audiencesOutstanding attention to detailExperience working with a variety of culturesExperience communicating with non-native English speakersTechnically savvy (both in terms of training tools and our products)Great influencer (able to get things done without direct line management over people)Results drivenCustomer-oriented mindset (both internal and external customers)PHYSICAL ABILITYMust be able to communicate verbally and in writing
