With six locations in the Natural State (Arkansas), opportunities abound.POSITION SUMMARY: An Automotive Technician, often called Service Tech, will maintain, inspect, and repair vehicles within the service bay. Provides accurate information to the service manager and service advisors, concerning vehicles that are processed through the company for business purposes. WHAT WE OFFER:Medical, Dental and Life InsuranceVision InsuranceShort term and long-term disability401KPaid time offClosed on SundaysESSENTIAL DUTIES:Perform vehicle repair, multi-point inspection, and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standardsComplete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testingCommunicate with parts department and service advisors regularly to effectively manage production and customer communicationDiagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the CustomerMake appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehiclesDocument work performed on each vehicle on the repair orderMaintain an inventory of normal technician's tools not normally inventoried by the service department as special toolsKeep aware of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriateRoad-test vehicles to ensure quality work as neededCommunicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service workComply with company safety policies and proceduresEfficient and accurate work in accordance with dealerships and factory standardsContinuously learn new technical information and techniquesAttend technician training courses, as requested by service managerMay be asked to train and/or mentor other coworkers, as neededMay be asked to speak with or ride with customers, if authorized by supervisorConduct business in an ethical and professional mannerPerforms other job-related duties as assignedADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain professional appearance in accordance with the employee handbookMaintain an organized, safe, and clean shop areaExpected to arrive to work on time and work required shiftFollow instructions from supervisorInteract effectively with co-workersReceive feedback from supervisor in a positive mannerQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Work experience within the related job duties assigned; 2+ years' experience as an automotive technician preferred.Demonstrates knowledge in area of service for automotive techniciansAdditional certifications may be required, such as ASE Certification, etc.A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine RepairBroad knowledge of new vehicle technologiesAmbitious, hardworking presence in a team environmentBasic computer skillsPositive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentalityAbility to collaborate effectively and to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentAbility to learn modern technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsEDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
