Additionally, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa support.Job Overview:We are looking for an Accounting Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience and explore multiple areas of accounting. This internship offers the unique opportunity to rotate between General Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and possibly Accounts Payable (A/P). You will provide administrative and operational support while learning the processes that keep our finance operations running smoothly.Responsibilities Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closeSupport preparation of financial reports and documentationParticipate in audit preparation and compliance activitiesAssist with inventory reconciliations and reportingSupport accounting processes related to product valuation and transactionsHelp ensure accuracy of inventory dataSupport invoice processing and vendor communicationsAssist with payment reconciliations and documentationMaintain organized financial recordsAdditional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in special projects and process improvement initiativesCollaborate with team members to learn and contribute to daily accounting operationsMaintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial dataQualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong interest in gaining exposure to multiple accounting areasDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a hybrid schedule at our Phoenix, AZ corporate officePreferred:Prior internship or coursework in accountingFamiliarity with accounting software or ERP systemsUnderstanding of GAAP principlesLeslie's recognizes a critical component to our continued success is our people.
