Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will handle key accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing company in the construction industry. Responsibilities: - Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment to vendors. - Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, posting payments, and conducting follow-ups on collections. - Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies in billing. - Perform bank and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. - Maintain detailed records of financial transactions in the accounting system. - Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable and accounts receivable. - Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to address inquiries about invoices, payments, and account balances. - Support the accounting team by entering data, generating reports, and organizing documentation. - Ensure compliance with established accounting procedures and company policies. Requirements - Minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounts payable and receivable within an accounting or finance environment. - Proficiency in handling invoice processing, reconciliations, and collections. - Degree in Accounting (Bachelor or Associates) - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. - Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. - Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting. - Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams. - Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments is a plus.
