Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.What You Will Be Doing:In this role, you'll ensure that critical mechanical, electrical, and facility systems remain operational and safe to support Helion's fusion development activities. We're looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to tackle complex maintenance tasks across a multi-building campus, support team members, and improve the reliability and performance of the infrastructure that supports our mission. You will report to the Facilities Operations Manager and work onsite at our Everett, WA office.You Will:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC/cooling units, compressed air, plumbing, water, electrical systems, and other facility utilities in the production environmentInstall and repair air drops, lines, and facility systems to support manufacturing operationsTroubleshoot and maintain facility-dependent equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and overhead cranesRespond to building repair issues including leaking faucets, toilets, roof leaks, and equipment leaksMaintain and repair access systems including roll-up doors, pedestrian doors, and automated gate systemsCoordinate vendor work, document maintenance activities and work orders, order parts, and support facility changes such as equipment installation, relocation, and office moves while following safety proceduresRequired Skills:Ability to work second shift: Monday - Friday, 2pm -10:30pm5+ years of experience in building, mechanical, or facility maintenanceStrong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, including use of diagnostic toolsKnowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and OSHA safety complianceSkilled at reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematicsExperienced operating motorized lift equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor/boom lifts)Comfortable working at heights and using fall protection equipmentPhysical ability to squat, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 poundsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in HVAC or related trades are a plusBenefitsOur total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to:• Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families • 31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days) • 10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break • Up to 5% employer 401(k) match • Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance • Paid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks) • Annual wellness stipendHelion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
