The Apprentice will be shown practical skills and learn to test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices.Duties & Responsibilities:Learns to read and understand P&ID drawings.Assists with Installing process control and measurement instrumentation on existing and new field equipment and processes (transmitters, controllers, analyzers, control valves, etc.). Performs mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification; removes and installs small piping and tubing.Rebuilds control valves and tune controllers.Performs preventative maintenance on instrumentation (calibration, replacement and tests as required); maintains field instrument records and standards.Uses pressure and/or electrical test equipment to troubleshoot systems. Installs and repairs chemical pumps.Participates/complies with company safety programs & company policies.Provides on-call support as required. Other duties as required.Required Skills/Qualifications:Registered Apprentice preferred.High school diploma.OSHA 30 and Safeland, with preference for OSHA500.Experience in oil and gas is an asset.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (required for safety-sensitive roles).Completion of a criminal background check, with results assessed based on relevance to the position.Verification of a clean driving record, as defined by Control Tech's standards (e.g., no major violations, no more than 3 infractions in the past 5 years).Self-Management Behaviors (expected of all employees in the Control Tech family):Self-Awareness: Recognizes impact on others, knows strengths and limitations, sense of self-worth and confidence.Sel- Control: Disruptive emotions and impulses are in check, maintains consistency with core values.Maintains Motivation: Strives to learn, to improve and to be successful.Listening and Speaking Respectfully: Listens generously - clarifies meaning and intent, speaks straight and respectfully.Collaborator: Works effectively on teams with a wide variety of people, resolves conflict directly and productively, contributes to the success of others.
