Ascentec Engineering is hiring a Quality Engineer!We're seeking a driven professional to support our Machining and Integrated Assembly divisions, ensuring the highest standards are upheld throughout the sourcing and production of advanced hardware. Technical excellence and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.Please note: This is a fully onsite role (not remote/not hybrid) and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.RequirementsExpectations:Read and interpret customer drawings that include GD&T and multi-level Bills of MaterialsPerform advanced manual inspections with gauging tools and perform visual product InspectionsSolve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization existsDemonstrate effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and CollaborationCreate/refine Manufacturing Work Instructions and Quality Inspection plansSubmit Customer First Article, Final inspection reports, and Engineering change requestsRecord and Trend Quality performance dataCreate/refine Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) disposition activitiesLead/Facilitate internal Continuous Improvement effortsLead Customer escapes containments and Root Cause Corrective Action utilizing advanced problem solvingProvide training to employees on Quality related topicsInterface with Customer Quality and Engineering RepsManage Customers supplier scorecard reviews and improvement activitiesConduct Source Inspections and also schedule contracted Source inspections where necessaryAudit internal and supplier processesOwn, direct and establish metrics for Supplier Quality ManagementMakes the final decision on acceptability of productOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Bachelor of Science required with an emphasis in Engineering from an accredited four-year institution is required.ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate) highly preferred3 or more years of relevant Manufacturing experience in the Aerospace and/or Semiconductor industry highly preferredExperience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured productsPersonal Qualifications:Self-Starter with strong self-motivation; flexible, organized, and able to manage shifting prioritiesReliable, dependable, and honest, demonstrating exceptional integrityCollaborative team player with a positive, customer-focused mindsetMaintains a professional and respectful demeanor in all situations; thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and is eager to support others as needs evolveWorking Conditions/Physical Hazards: Work in an office environment as well as production environment with exposure to noise, liquid grinding coolant mist and vapor, dust and lubricants managed through an exhaust system. Occasional local travel may be required.
