The University of La Verne's LaFetra College of Education invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach and support candidates across our Teacher Education pathways, including the B.A. in Elementary Education, the M.A. in Inclusive Education, and our Special Education (Education Specialist Mild/Moderate and Extensive Support Needs), Single Subject, and Multiple Subject credential programs. Master's Degree in Education or related field2. Experience teaching (level dependent upon course)3. Experience working with diverse populationsK-8 Multiple Subject credential (dependent on course)4. Single Subject Credential (dependent on course)5. Doctoral Degree (Preferred) in Education, Human Development or related field6. Preference will be given to those with evidence of excellence in teaching, scholarship and mentoring.Education Specialist - Mild/Moderate and/or Extensive Support NeedsQualifications:1. Master's degree in Education2. Current Clear CA teaching credential (Mild/Moderate or Extensive Support Needs) with English Language Learner and Autism Authorizations3. Commitment to and experience working with diverse student populations, including English Language learners4. Minimum of 3 years of successful elementary or secondary teaching experiencePreferred Qualifications:1. Doctorate in Education, Special Education, or related field2. Understanding of Disabilities or Inclusive Education Studies3. Experience working in inclusive educational environments4. Experience with assessments, data-driven instruction, and technologySingle SubjectSingle Subject Teaching Credential - Subject Specific PedagogyRequired Qualifications:1. Master's degree or higher with a current Clear California Single Subject2. Commitment to and experience working with diverse student populations including English Language learners3. A minimum of three years of successful secondary teaching experience4. Ability to work with adult learners5. Effective communication and organization skillsPreferred Qualifications1. Doctorate in Education or related field2. Teaching experience in an urban setting3. Experience with online instructionMultiple SubjectRequired Qualifications:1. Master's degree in Education, Reading, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field2. A valid California Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an English Learner Authorization3. Experience working with diverse student populations including English Language Learners4. At least three years of successful elementary or middle school teaching experience5. Experience in teaching and/or working with adult learnersPreferred Qualifications1. Doctorate degree in Education or related field2. Teaching experience in an urban setting3.
