Junior Artist

Dreamscape Learn, a pioneer in the realm of immersive virtual reality learning design, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Jr. Artist to assist in the creation of story-driven VR experiences in the world of science and education. To be successful, the Jr. Artist must be knowledgeable in using industry-standard software tools.You are a strong generalist, willing to take on a variety of tasks, both independently and in collaboration with other artists. The Artist will work closely with the project leads and the Art Director.* Must submit a portfolio with application * Roles & ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the development of AAA quality environments and assetsFollow defined and established art standards/ systems while ensuring all creative material are consistentMaintain a close working relationship with your direct manager, producers, leads, directors and other teams to push project qualityLiaise with lead artists and developers regarding the style and feel of the projectSketching concept designs and key elements of the visual styleBuilding 3D models of all assets in line with the technical limits of the engineApplying textures to all visual elementsAdding lighting and shading effects to all elements, ensuring consistency in color, intensity and lighting levelsAdhering to the production scheduleMaintain asset folder structure and organization in unitDesigning with the user experience in mindRequirementsBachelor's degree in digital art, Game Art & Design or related field.Minimum 1-2 years of industry experience.Fundamental understanding of game design concepts.Extensive experience using 3D modeling software.Knowledge of game engine.Understanding of the necessary software tools.Highly creative and passion in visual effectsExcellent attention to detailExceptional work ethic and time management skillsStrong interpersonal communication and collaboration skillsBenefitsCompensation $70,000-$90,000 per annumHealth/ dental/ vision insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramUnlimited PTOPerks at work
