R&D Engineer (Thermal)

Job Title: R&D Engineer Thermal Location: San Diego, CA Job Type (Permanent/Contract) : Permanent Pay Range: $130k Description: We have a new full-time requirement with Client, located on Balboa Boulevard in Kearny Mesa, San Diego. This is a high-caliber, PhD-level (or equivalent) engineering role focused on thermal analysis and thermal design. Relocation $$ a possibility for the right candidate. Notably; Key highlights: Work authorization: U.S. Citizen preferred; Green Card holders are acceptable Clearance/Compliance: ITAR exposure required; must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Location: Onsite in San Diego 4 5 days per week (no remote option) Profile: Very strong academic background with deep, hands-on experience in thermal modeling, analysis, and design within complex systems Industry experience: Defense, aerospace, advanced electronics, or similar highly regulated environments strongly preferred Role and Responsibilities: To align expectations going forward, we should target the following minimum experience levels: MS candidates: 3 5 years of direct CFD and thermal analysis industry experience BS candidates: 5 8 years of direct CFD and thermal analysis industry experience PhD candidates: Relevant post-doctoral or equivalent hands-on industry experience may be considered toward these requirements
