We offer a supportive, team-oriented work environment where employees can build stable, rewarding careers with opportunities for growth.Position SummaryThe Delivery Technician is responsible for the delivery, setup, training, cleaning, and servicing of durable medical equipment and supplies for Blackburn's Physicians Pharmacy, Inc. customers. This role requires excellent customer service, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.All duties must be performed in compliance with state and federal regulations, Joint Commission standards, OSHA requirements, and company policies.Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery & Customer Support Load and secure medical equipment and supplies for safe transport. Deliver equipment and supplies to customers' homes and medical facilities in a timely and professional manner. Conduct basic home safety assessments and complete required documentation. Set up equipment and provide clear training to patients and caregivers on safe operation and routine maintenance.Equipment Maintenance & Handling Perform basic repairs on delivered durable medical equipment. Pick up equipment from customer locations, separating clean and soiled items, and return to designated areas. Clean, disinfect, and test returned equipment according to company policies. Maintain accurate vehicle inventory and assist with warehouse inventory, including wound care and respiratory equipment.Compliance, Documentation, & Safety Follow all infection control, safety, and quality standards. Obtain customer signatures, process cash-on-delivery payments and copays, and return money and documents promptly to the appropriate department. Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of the company vehicle; follow vehicle maintenance schedules. Assist with warehouse safety, shipping needs, and other operational tasks. Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.Additional Duties Support warehouse organization and safe equipment handling. Participate in special assignments or projects as requested by management.Continuing Education Attend training sessions on safety, infection control, hazardous communication, and new products. Utilize available training materials-including video and audio resources-to stay up to date on equipment and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with patients, caregivers, and team members Experience with mechanical assembly or repair of mechanical/electronic equipment Comfortable using hand tools and basic shop tools Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills required; experience in a healthcare-related industry is a plus
