Millwright Department: Manufacturing & Distribution - Skilled Jobs Employment Type: Full Time Location: Columbia, PA - Plant Reporting To: Tim Schechterly Compensation: $36.93 / hour Description The following is a list of general responsibilities and skills necessary to perform the duties of the (Journeyperson Millwright) classification (labor grade (9): Key Responsibilities Under general supervision, will be responsible for but not limited to the following: * Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner * Diagnostic and repair tools and equipment used in dissembling, repairing and installing mechanical equipment * Common reasons for mechanical failure and the steps necessary to correct malfunctioning * Responsible for varied types of motors and their operation * Working with the Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems * Analyze mechanical problems, organize assigned maintenance and repair work, and develop effective work methods * Rebuild and install new and/or rebuilt assemblies in equipment * Weld broken parts, burn and fabricate * Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Skills Required: * The ability to cut with a torch * Welding experience * Fabricating experience * Trouble shooting pneumatic and hydraulics * Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete assignments/projects through to completion * The ability to work with different tools such as grinders, drills/hand and presses * Can identify bearings * Know and understand metric for measuring * Being able to read a tape measure * Ability to work independently * Possesses a sense of urgency and ownership Benefits * Starting pay rate $36.93. $2.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. * Standard shift Monday-Friday * Offered Over Time * Sundays off * Health benefits, on-site nurse, 401k and Paid Holidays
