Field Engineer Intern

MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is currently seeking a construction-focused field engineer intern to join our CMS Project based out of Martinez, CA.MWH Constructors?is a global project delivery company with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure. Incorporating industry-leading preconstruction services and safety practices, the Company's multi-disciplined team of engineering and construction professionals delivers a wide range of projects, including new facilities, infrastructure improvement and expansion, and capital construction services.Essential Functions Assist with project controls, change orders, RFI's, and other construction administration duties. Prepare look-ahead schedules with information from subcontractors. Assist in the generation of various reports, such as submittal and RFI logs, and with document control. Process Submittals and RFIs. Update working drawings with RFIs and Changes. Keep this set up to date to ensure the team is working with the most current information. Perform simple calculations. Provide technical support for the construction effort. Contact vendors for information. Comply with company policies and procedures. Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.Basic Qualifications In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related degree. Interest in a career in heavy construction. Experienced with the complete Microsoft Office Suite, excellent writing and communication skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal abilities for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
