With over 125 lawyers, we offer the depth and breadth of legal talent and experience necessary to achieve exceptional results for our local, regional, and national clients.We are seeking an individual to join the Legal Talent and Development team to manage the recruitment and hiring of law students and lateral associates. The Manager of Legal Recruiting works closely with the Chief Legal Talent and Development Officer to design and implement innovative recruiting programs for the firm. The Manager of Legal Recruiting is responsible for law student and entry-level attorney hiring. The successful candidate will develop and manage programs and events to attract graduates from prominent law schools as well as top performing lateral associates.Job Responsibilities:Manages on-campus recruitment efforts; conducts screen interviews, establishes the on-campus interview schedule for summer and fall associate hiring; communicates with career services offices; identifies interview teams; creates the call-back interview schedule; schedules interviews and communicates with students;Plans, executes and manages the firm's Summer Associate Program, Spring Program, the firm's 1L Scholarship program and other recruiting events designed to increase the visibility of the firm and attract exceptional candidates;Collaborates in the creation and implementation of lateral associate recruiting initiatives; including preparing and posting advertisements, communication with applicants and search firms, assessing resumes, arranging interviews;Collaborates with the Hiring Partner, Hiring Committee and Chief Legal Talent and Development Officer to determine entry-level attorney needs and manages programs and initiatives to meet those needs;Supports the firms hiring strategy and objectives; works with Chief Legal Talent and Development Officer to define the criteria for screening applicants and assesses resumes for presentation to the Hiring Partner and Hiring Committee; implements strategies to support the firm's recruiting and hiring objectives;Oversees the internal interview process, including the revision and updating of forms and supplemental materials;Manages the employment offer process, including recruitment related diligence (i.e. background checks, conflicts, references, transcripts, bar status, etc.); Oversees the maintenance of the applicant database; prepares reports on recruiting activities and offer status; coordinates the preparation of annual recruiting statistics for the Hiring Partner, the Hiring Committee, and the Management Committee; and Oversees and tracks recruiting budget to ensure recruiting activities align with projected financial parameters.Education/Experience Requirements:Juris Doctorate preferred plus three years of experience recruiting for professional or exempt positions or a combination of experience and education sufficient to indicate the ability to successfully perform in the position.Experience in a law firm or client service organization an asset.Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to all aspects of entry-level recruitingAbility to organize and prioritize numerous tasks while meeting critical deadlinesAbility to work effectively with a variety of staff with a client service orientationDemonstrates ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionPrior experience in managing programs and processesDemonstrates ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writingAbility to work independently and with a teamKnowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook.
