Job Title: Project Manager (Material Handling System Integration Experience Needed) Client is unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future. Job Description The Project Manager can sit onsite in Louisville or remotely nationwide and is responsible for providing planning, leadership, and direction in the day-to-day implementation of conveyor integration projects. This role involves leading project teams to ensure successful project delivery and managing multiple projects simultaneously, depending on size. A successful candidate will create MS Project schedules and drive the team towards quality and timely delivery that exceeds customer expectations. The role is defined by four essential criteria: safety, on-time delivery, quality, and financial management. Responsibilities + Set up projects consistently and ensure customer expectations are exceeded by the project team. + Manage contract documents and translate them into a project plan that the team can follow. + Be financially responsible for profit/loss through monthly budget reporting. + Demonstrate competence in risk mitigation, scheduling, and critical path planning. + Lead weekly project team meetings with internal and external customers. + Manage customer acceptance and project closeout. + Ensure customer requirements are met. + Provide closed-loop reporting to relevant parties. + Complete monthly billing and cash flow analysis. + Negotiate customer changes into the contract and budget. + Perform other responsibilities as needed. Essential Skills + Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and financials, as well as bid drawings to understand scope of work. + Capability to travel to job sites and manage projects both on paper and in person. + Detail-oriented and organized, capable of performing consistent, accurate, and self-verified work. + Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. + Effective communicator (verbal and written) with attention to detail. + Excellent collaboration and influencing skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience. + 2+ years experience in managing conveyor installation projects. + Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and MS Project. + Legally authorized to work in the United States. + Ability to obtain facility security clearance as needed. Work Environment The position involves a combination of working in the office, customer offices, job sites, and vendor locations, with 50% travel required. The work schedule includes general office hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with varying hours at job sites to meet requirements. The physical demands include high productivity in an office setting, prolonged sitting, repetitive typing/data entry, and standing or walking for extended periods at job sites. Climbing and lifting up to 20 pounds may be required. The company is building the team and offers the opportunity for travel, ideally based in Louisville but open to remote candidates with industry experience, requiring travel to Louisville as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Albany, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
