Job SummaryPacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States.Since 1985, Taurus has been designing control systems, automating tasks, and fabricating control panels for industrial, municipal, and commercial customers-on time and on budget. Taurus is a NETA Accredited Company that offers full-service, third party, independent testing for all electrically powered systems and equipment. Being a 24/7 field service company remains at the core of what we do. We have expertise in a wide array of systems and industries, whether it's servicing projects we developed, or systems built by others.As a systems integrator, Taurus' Controls Group scope of work on a typical project will include industrial control panel design, instrumentation selection, preparation of submittal / O&M documentation, oversight of control panel construction, PLC/VFD/HMI/SCADA programming, control panel testing, onsite startup, and customer training. A significant portion of the work we do as a systems integrator supports the municipal water / wastewater industry.Education and Experience QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Driver's license with the ability to be insured under the company insurance program.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls/Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience accepted.10+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or systems integration; municipal water/wastewater sector strongly preferredDemonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing industrial control systems including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and control panel layoutsStrong working knowledge of instrumentation selection, panel fabrication, and electrical schematics interpretation and production5+ years of leadership experience in management or leadership role within an engineering or controls team.Full understanding of the role and responsibilities of a systems integrator within industrial and municipal environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at resolving technical challenges during design, construction, and startupExcellent communication skills, with the ability to guide technical staff and engage directly with customers, contractors, and stakeholdersDuties and Responsibilities The Engineering Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure that all members of the engineering group have sufficient instruction, training, and access to resources to be successful in their roles for the work they are assigned. The main duties of the Engineering Manager are to review new projects, assign tasks, answer technical questions, and review the work of others as part of a collaborative effort to produce timely and accurate engineering deliverables.
