Material Handler - 2 Needed

Job DescriptionA manufacturing company is seeking a Material Handler who will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, and delivering raw materials, finished goods, and supplies within the manufacturing facility. Additionally, you will support production operations by ensuring materials are available when needed and inventory is properly managed. This is a first shift position working from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Duties: Load, unload, and transport metal materials using forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment Stage raw materials for production and move finished products to designated storage areas Verify material quantities and quality against work orders and shipping documents Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies Operate material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing shipments Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements Perform other duties as assigned Job RequirementsQualifications: Must have a High School Diploma or GED Previous material handling or warehouse operation experience is preferred Must be able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment; Certification may be required Must have basic math and record-keeping skills while paying a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must have the ability to regularly lift and move materials up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift, while frequently bending, stooping, and twisting to handle materials Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, while maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse Must be able to follow all safety rules and requirements Only those candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.Area Temps still believes that the best way to serve both our employees and our customers is through personal service.
