Both RWC's World and US headquarters are based in Atlanta, Georgia.Position DescriptionSince 2012, RWC's Americas revenues have tripled and now make up over 60% of the company's worldwide revenues; it expects to more than double those revenues through continued organic and acquisition means in the coming years. With that, the AP Manager will execute and assist in the development of improving the organization's overall accounts payable practices to lead that growth rather than react to it. The AP Manager will report to the Assistant Controller and will interface with many company functional areas. The AP Manager will be responsible for primarily US and Canada AP activities with the potential to expand globally. The AP Manager will be instrumental in implementing improved processes to supervise an experienced team, improve DPO, minimize late payments, optimize early-pay discounts, oversee all payment activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain and improve internal and vendor relationships.Principal ResponsibilitiesHiring, training, motivating, and evaluating accounts payable staff membersSetting and facilitating the achievement of department objectivesReview all payments made by AP team ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and validity of such paymentsEnsure adherence with compliance processes for approvals and the execution of all vendor paymentsOversee disbursement of checks, ACH, and wire paymentsCollaborate with Assistant Controller with anticipated change in Canadian Banking InstitutionMaintain confidential banking and vendor informationPrepare annual 1099 reports and generate and submit all tax information as neededImprove utilization of Concur and SAP to reduce manual touches and errorsProviding timely audit support for internal and external compliance auditsIdeal Candidate Requirements/AttributesThe desired candidate will be a passionate, high-performance individual who has a demonstrated history of performing diverse and agile accounts payable functions in a manufacturing enterprise in a public company environment. The AP Manager will seek to be a metric-informed business partner, with extensive experience in problem solving, managing and motivating staff, driving process improvements, and improving internal and external relationships. The AP Manager will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, excited to problem-solve and work with ambiguity, be a part of a high-performing team of a growing company, able to prioritize self with limited direction, use sound judgment in decision making, work with a sense of urgency, be comfortable with a matrix reporting environment, and maintain confidential information. The AP Manager should be comfortable improving processes while also maintaining routine best practices, increasing documentation around procedures, and learning new "ways of working" as RWC continues to invest in improving tools and resources. Exceptional communication skills are highly preferred due to the variability of the business partner range of influence, and ability to travel as needed (travel will likely not be more than 10 percent on an annual basis).EducationMinimum of a bachelor's degreeExperienceMinimum 10 years professional experience, minimum 5 years of supervisory experienceExtensive knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable proceduresManufacturing industry experience and/or public accounting experience preferredExperience working in a fast paced, deadline driven accounting environmentConcur and SAP software experience is strongly preferredSpecialized SkillsSAP softwareExtensive knowledge of accounting and management principles, and accounts payable proceduresStrong planning and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Level Microsoft Excel; vlookup, hlookup, index/match, sumproduct, pivots, conditional formatting, subtotal, hyperlinks, chart creationExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
