Job Summary At Moon Valley Nurseries, you will play a versatile role in supporting various aspects of nursery operations and customer service. Your responsibilities will include performing a range of tasks such as equipment maintenance, yard organization, and customer assistance. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the retail yard.Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist with organizing and maintaining the nursery yard to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive appearance. This may involve communicating plant material waste, rearranging plants, trees, and other merchandise, as well as cleaning and tidying up the yard area. Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on nursery equipment, including vehicles, forklifts, and hand tools. Ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition and safe to use. Assist with loading and unloading plants, trees, and other nursery products into a variety of vehicles. Provide friendly and helpful customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience. Provide assistance to customers and colleagues by loading and unloading plants, trees, and other nursery products into a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, trailers, and vans Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks in yard such as, proper lifting techniques, operating equipment, handling merchandise, and ensuring a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
