Job Title: Operations Coordinator Organization: Huntsville Havoc Location: Huntsville, Alabama Position Type: Full-Time/Seasonal, September 2026-April 2027 (Entry-Level / Post-Graduate Internship) Compensation: Paid, Monthly Stipend Position OverviewThe Huntsville Havoc are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and energetic Operations Coordinator to support game operations and special event execution. This role is designed as a full-time, paid (monthly stipend) post-grad internship opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in sports management, event operations, and live entertainment. This position will run throughout the 2026-27 season (September through April).The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in planning, executing, and enhancing the fan experience at Havoc home games and special events. This individual will work closely with multiple departments and serve as a primary point of contact for fans visiting the front office.Key ResponsibilitiesGame & Event OperationsAssist in planning and executing all Havoc home games and select special eventsSupport creation and distribution of game scripts, timelines, and operational documentsCoordinate in-game elements including promotions, intermission activities, theme nights, and fan engagement featuresAssist with execution of specialty jersey nights, auctions, and post-game experiencesManage on-site logistics during games to ensure smooth operationsAuctions & PromotionsHelp brainstorm creative theme night ideas and fan engagement conceptsAssist in building, organizing, and executing in-game and online auctionsCoordinate item preparation, display, fulfillment, and winner communicationTrack auction inventory and support revenue-generating initiativesEvent Setup & BreakdownAssist with arena and promotional setup prior to games and eventsCoordinate signage, tables, auction displays, and activation areasParticipate in post-game tear-down and equipment organizationEnsure all event materials are properly stored and maintainedFront Office & Fan EngagementServe as the first point of contact for fans visiting the Havoc officeSell single-game tickets via phone and in personProvide outstanding customer serviceMaintain a professional and welcoming front-office environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, Business, or related field preferredStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, live-event environmentWillingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays during hockey seasonCreative thinker with strong attention to detailPositive attitude and team-first mentalityAbility to lift and move event materials (up to 40 lbs)Familiarity with Social Tables and Momentus Elite (preferred but not required)Ideal CandidateThis role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in professional sports.
