If you're a strategic, innovative HR leader who thrives on driving impact and championing organizational culture, this is a great career opportunity!A Day in the LifeThe Vice President of Human Resources partners with senior leaders and program teams to ensure our workforce strategy supports the mission of Home of the Innocents. You will guide HR operations, help leaders navigate workforce challenges, and ensure that HR systems, policies, and programs support a thriving and compliant workplace.On any given day, you might be reviewing workforce analytics, advising leaders on organizational design or change initiatives, collaborating with the Director of Total Rewards on compensation strategy, or guiding employee experience initiatives that strengthen engagement and belonging.You will lead a talented HR team and ensure operational excellence across HR systems, compliance practices, and workforce programs while helping the organization continuously improve how we attract, develop, and support our team members.Key ResponsibilitiesLead execution of HR strategy by translating enterprise goals into operational plans, KPIs, and team priorities.Partner with program and operational leaders to address workforce needs, organizational design, and change initiatives.Oversee HR operations, systems, analytics, and compliance to ensure effective processes and regulatory adherence.Advance employee experience and engagement initiatives aligned with the organization's culture and values.Support total rewards strategy and workforce wellbeing programs in partnership with the Director of Total Rewards.Provide operational leadership and escalation support for complex HR issues while maintaining process integrity and documentation.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior leadership roles and experience leading HR teams.Strong operational leadership skills with demonstrated success in project management, process improvement, and change management.Experience working with HRIS/ATS platforms, workforce analytics, and data-driven decision making.High emotional intelligence with the ability to coach and influence leaders across functions.Professional HR certification preferred (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).What You'll Receive as a Valued Member of Home of the InnocentsA trauma-informed environmentComprehensive benefits packageGenerous leave time401(k) with employer matchTraining and certification opportunitiesWho We AreHome of the Innocents is a 145-year-old non-profit, dedicated to supporting children and families in our community.
