PAINTER

SUMMARYThe painter is responsible for painting the interior and exterior surfaces of Trezevant Episcopal Home, apartments and houses. They are responsible for preparing walls and surfaces before executing the actual painting tasks. There are several pre-painting tasks that require using hand tools as well as power tools and must be used in efficient manner. The painter must also be able to apply wallpapers with expertise and proficiency. They are utilized for providing on-site preparations for building renovations and equipment. RESPONSIBILITES Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas for projects. Execute pre-painting activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, ect. if required. Comply with OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to the use of hazardous chemicals Carry out project cleaning of areas, supplies, and equipment at completion of project. Support team with special maintenance projects as needed.QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma of GED preferred. Must have painting and dry wall experience
