RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Marketing LeadershipDevelops and executes a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives and client relationship goals.Partners with the Client & Project Development Director, executive leadership, business unit leaders and market sector leaders to support market expansion and client retention.Leads brand positioning and messaging to differentiate the firm in competitive vertical market sectors.Business Development & PursuitsOversees proposal and qualification efforts (RFQs, RFPs, SOQs) ensuring high-quality, on brand, and compliant submissions.Collaborates with pursuit champions, preconstruction, business unit leaders and market sector leaders to develop win strategies and pursuit messaging.Maintains and continuously improves proposal content, resumes, project sheets, and marketing collateral.Ensures compelling, compliant, and differentiated proposals and interview materials that highlight technical expertise, safety, and project execution.Leads customer relationship management (CRM) system and business opportunity information capture and data management.Establishes KPIs tied to pursuit outcomes, hit rates, brand visibility, and department return on investment (ROI).Team & Resource ManagementLeads, mentors, and develops the marketing team, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with department and Company goals.Manages external consultants, agencies, and vendors as needed.Establishes workflows, schedules, and quality standards for marketing deliverables.Brand, Communications & Digital MarketingOversees corporate branding, visual identity, and messaging consistency across all platforms.Directs external communications, including press releases, project announcements, awards, advertising, and thought leadership.Manages website content, social media strategy, email campaigns, and digital analytics.Partners with Director of Internal Communications on internal communications campaigns and content to align on timing and consistency for external communications.Awards Oversees construction projects for award submittals such as ACE, SMPS MEA, ENR Rocky Mountain Regional Best Projects.Develops and submits Company and employee owners for awards with Denver Business Journal, ENR, Mile High CRE, and other industry and regional publications.Market Intelligence & AnalyticsTracks marketing performance metrics, proposal hit rates, and ROI.Conducts market and competitor research to inform strategy and pursuit decisions.Supports the development and implementation of the new customer relationship management (CRM).After implementation, maintains CRM data and marketing databases to support client relations and leadership reporting.Budget & Compliance Develops and manages the marketing services budget development process.Meets quarterly with executive leadership on annual budget plan.Ensures all marketing materials comply with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.Oversees purchasing of marketing materials to ensure quality and budget compliance.EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fieldEXPERIENCE12+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 in the commercial construction or AEC industry.Master's degree or professional marketing certification (SMPS CPSM) a plus.Proven leadership experience managing proposal teams.Extensive experience RFQs, RFPs, and pursuit driven marketing.Experience supporting marketing of large-scale commercial vertical construction projects.TECHNICAL SKILLSAdvanced working knowledge of Adobe SuiteWorking knowledge of standard Marketing Automation and content management systems (CMS) platforms and Business Development software, CANVA, Hootsuite and WordPress preferredAdvanced working knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft SuiteAdvanced technical writing, proofreading, editingAdvanced working knowledge of digital marketingEMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSVerifiable work referencesSuccessful completion of post-offer background & drug screensAll positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive.
