Quality Control Technician Job Description As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing and related quality control activities using various instruments such as Analytical Balance, pH meter, automatic pipettes, FTIR, UV-Vis, Voltammeter, HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, Flame AA, TOC, and Conductivity meter. Your role is essential in ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs and cGMPs and maintaining the quality and safety of manufactured and marketed products. Responsibilities + Conduct laboratory testing and quality control activities using a range of scientific instruments. + Notify management or supervision of any aberrant occurrences that might impact product quality. + Maintain a safe and quality working environment by adhering to safety and quality guidelines and SOPs. + Ensure department premises and equipment are well-maintained. + Complete necessary training to perform assigned tasks confidently and consistently. + Comply with site safety and radiation protection guidelines. + Collaborate with team members to perform quality tasks timely. + Attend mandatory training sessions as required by site regulatory standards and management. + Assist in investigations by providing testing results and communicating practices. + Contribute to the training and development of fellow employees. Essential Skills + Knowledge in chemistry, laboratory procedures, biology, and biochemistry. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals and priorities. + Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and schedules. + Enthusiastic to learn and contribute and consistent attendance. + Ability to lift 70 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and climb stairs with or without accommodation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2 years of college-level science or an Associate's Degree in Science required. + Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred. + Experience with laboratory instruments such as Analytical Balance, pH meter, automatic pipettes, FTIR, UV-Vis, Voltammeter, HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, Flame AA, TOC, and Conductivity meter. Work Environment The work schedule is Sunday to Wednesday from 2 AM to 12:30 PM. Employees will work in a facility producing radioactive materials and must participate in safety programs to minimize exposure risks. The role requires wearing various personal protective equipment. You will have the opportunity to learn and use a wide range of standard and unique instrumentation in a pharma QC Lab. The position offers a shift differential upon conversion, holiday pay, and a 4-day workweek schedule providing a longer break. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryland Heights, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
