Manages returns within the same system and is responsible for accurate record-keeping and the proper return of all tools.Accurately maintains a running inventory of all items in the tool crib based on stock records. Takes a physical inventory of the entire tool crib at least once a year.Maintains accurate daily transactions via computer.Operates CNC and automatic drill grinders to provide sharpened drills for machine operators' specific job needs.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Other DutiesReports excessive usage of tools by machine operators to the Operations Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Materials Manager.Identifies and reports tools of substandard quality to the Operations Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Materials Manager.Reports critical stock levels of tools to the Operations Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Materials Manager.Keeps the workplace area clean and organized daily, with a general cleanup each week.Works with tool crib attendants from different shifts to share and exchange relevant information for the task at hand.Follows all safety regulations while performing all duties.Carries out additional tasks as necessary.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift heavy gears, cams, and various machine parts weighing up to 30 pounds from waist level to shoulder height.Visual clarity is essential for tasks that require precision and attention to detail.Must be able to transition from sitting to standing at least 20 times each hour.Effective communication with co-workers on a regular basis is essential.Candidates must be able to work in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned environments.Education/QualificationsHigh school diploma or its equivalent.Strong customer service skills and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.Paying attention to detail is essential.Proficient in basic computer skills; experience with JDE and Microsoft Excel is a plus.Experience in a customer service environment is preferred.Preferred qualifications include experience in inventory management.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.#IndeedHPOur commitment to Diversity, Equity and Belonging (DEB) endeavors to create a safe space for all employees and customers, regardless of age, race, sex, gender identity, national origin, or religion.
