Painter I

Description:must have some type of Manufacturing painting experience to be considered. 1-3 years Experience in role. Perform spray painting operations on cylinders, components and assemblies. Work from written and verbal instructions to properly apply paint to required part surfaces. Use thinners to mix paint to proper consistency. Prepare parts for painting as required. As required, use overhead hoist to move and position parts in painting enclosure. Set and adjust paint spray nozzle and direct paint spray onto desired surfaces. Exercise care to prevent paint from being applied to undesired surfaces. Review paint finish for any defects. Oil unpainted machined surfaces. Label cylinders, match to order documents and forward to packer for shipment. Pack or box as required including occasional UPS machine operation. Check paints and thinner supplies and notify supervisor when low. Clean spray gun and compressor rig periodically. Change paint booth filters as required. Detect defective material, unusual conditions, operating difficulties and report to supervisor. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other duties as assigned and directed. Make out time and production reports. - the other half of the Job will be in Assembly: Sorting and Checking, Inspection, PCB and Small Parts Assembly, Aiming. Uses fingers or tools to perform one or more repetitive assembly operations to produce small, light-weight products. Works at a steady pace under close supervision. No heavy lifting required. Requires light back support belt.
