This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory visibility of all Etched assets located across internal and external locations. You will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, and Field Operations to build scalable inventory processes, improve visibility, and support rapid growth of complex hardware systems.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of data, process, and execution and wants direct ownership of a mission-critical function.Key responsibilitiesOwn global inventory visibility strategy across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, spares, and field inventoryEstablish inventory segmentation (e.g., ABC, lifecycle stage, risk profiles) and corresponding management approachesOwn inventory accuracy, cycle counting programs, and reconciliation processesPartner with Finance on valuation, reserves, write-offs, and audit readinessImprove inventory visibility through ERP, WMS, and reporting tools; ensure data integrity and governanceDefine and document global SOPs for inventory management and controlsIdentify automation and system gaps; lead or support implementation of scalable solutionsContinuously improve inventory management processes as the company scales across products, regions, and volumesYou may be a good fit if you have 5-8+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, or manufacturing operationsExperience defining inventory management processes across multiple sites and regionsStrong understanding of inventory control, planning, and financial impacts.Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced spreadsheetsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. We think most of the progress in the AI field has come from using more FLOPs to train and run models, and the best way to get more FLOPs is to build model-specific hardware. Larger and larger training runs encourage companies to consolidate around fewer model architectures, which creates a market for single-model ASICs.We are a fully in-person team in San Jose (Santana Row), and greatly value engineering skills. We do not have boundaries between engineering and research, and we expect all of our technical staff to contribute to both as needed.
