We're focused on innovative chemical and biological solutions to improve livestock performance, control Salmonella, E.coli, Clostridia and a host of viruses which impact animal welfare, productivity and human food security, and drive milling efficiency.We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Systems & Support Specialist to manage and support our organization's IT systems, network infrastructure, and end-user environments. This role focuses on maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations while supporting both infrastructure and user systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, diagnosing technical issues, conducting regular IT audits, and improving processes through automation and AI-assisted tools.This position is best suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, system reliability, and maintaining high operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Network SupportMaintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.Monitor network performance to ensure uptime, reliability, and security.Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-connected environments.Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to resolve connectivity issues.Diagnose and resolve VPN, VoIP, and remote access issues.Systems AdministrationConfigure and manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure environments.Maintain Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.Apply system updates, patches, and upgrades.Monitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems.Endpoint & Device ManagementSupport Windows laptops, Apple devices, printers, and endpoint hardware.Assist with device setup and deployment for new employees.Maintain IT asset inventory and device lifecycle tracking.Security & ComplianceImplement and monitor cybersecurity protections including firewalls, endpoint security, and access controls.Conduct quarterly IT audits to review permissions, systems, and asset inventories.Identify and recommend improvements to security and operational practices.Technical SupportProvide Level 2/3 IT support for system, network, and software issues.Assist users with Microsoft applications and connectivity issues.Track issues using an IT ticketing or service management system.Process Improvement & AutomationIdentify opportunities to improve system performance and operational efficiency.Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades and system projects.Utilize AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) to improve troubleshooting, documentation, and workflow automation.Required Experience3-5+ years of hands-on IT support experience.Strong experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365 / Office 365, Active Directory, Azure, and Group Policy.Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.Experience troubleshooting Windows laptops, Apple devices, printers, and network connectivity.Proficiency supporting Microsoft Access databases.Advanced experience with Excel macros and pivot tables.Familiarity with AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.Ability to work independently and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail, especially when conducting IT audits and reviewing system configurations.Preferred QualificationsExperience with PowerShell, Python, or scripting automation.Experience with Tulip manufacturing platform.Experience supporting ERP systems such as QAD or Odoo.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure certifications, Microsoft 365 certifications, or Cisco CCNA.Key Traits for SuccessExceptional attention to detail.Ability to work independently and take ownership of systems.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Organized and process-driven.Comfortable supporting both infrastructure and end users.Able to leverage AI tools to improve IT workflows.We offerAn attractive compensation package in line with the position's responsibilities and your experience plus:Medical dental, vision, and 401k.Employee Assistance Program.Hybrid working - up to 2 days /p/wk work from home (after initial training period).A challenging position within a high-potential agri-tech company.
