Ideal candidates will have some college education and some experience with young children.Responsibilities:• Greet each child by name and acknowledge parents during drop off and pick up times daily.• Ensure the safety of each child.• Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum and software.• Read, understand and implement all policies and procedures of The Gardner School and all State Licensing Agencies.• Maintain professional and positive relationships with the parents and coworkers.• Advise the Director or Assistant Director of any supplies needed for the upcoming months.• Follow the standards set forth for the conduct and responsibilities of all staff members who come in contact with children.Perks for our Teachers:• Paid vacation, holidays, birthday, and personal time.• Medical, dental, vision, life, long-term, and short-term disability insurance.• 401k/Roth plan with the company matching• We strongly believe in promoting from within, rewarding our amazing teachers with opportunities to grow within our privately-owned company.The anticipated pay range for this position is $16.55 - $22.45 per hour. The actual starting rate will be based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and qualifications.Assistant Teacher Desired Skills and Experience:One year professional experienceMust love working with children and have a loving and nurturing personality.Excellent communication skills, including personal face-to-face communications with parents, staff, and children.Strong organizational skills.Computer literacy required.Assistant Teacher Minimum Qualifications:BS or BA degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or related degree preferred.Intermediate PC skillsPossess a valid driver's licenseEligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipThe Gardner School is an academically focused preschool for ages 6 Weeks to 5 Years.
