Activities Assistant

Full Time Owasso Position Summary Baptist Village Communities is seeking an Activities Assistant to support engaging, meaningful Life Enrichment experiences for residents. This role helps create a fun, welcoming environment by assisting with planning and leading activities, connecting with residents one-on-one, and supporting new resident transitions through admission assessments. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, organized, and enjoys serving senior adults, including residents living with dementia. This position is Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. General Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with Life Enrichment activities that encourage connection, purpose, and enjoyment for residents. Prepare, coordinate, and carry out daily activities for residents. Interact with residents in group settings and one-on-one, providing support and encouragement. Support residents with various levels of dementia with patience, compassion, and respect. Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to the activities program as needed. Help maintain a positive, vibrant atmosphere that is engaging and resident-focused. Perform other duties as assigned to support the Life Enrichment program and campus needs. Qualifications Fun, energetic, engaging, and patient personality with a heart for serving senior adults. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable working with residents one-on-one, including individuals with various levels of dementia. Ability to complete admission assessments and support documentation as needed. Valid Oklahoma State Driver's License required. Physical and Work Environment Office environment within a healthcare facility Must possess adequate sight and hearing, with or without assistive devices, to meet job requirements. Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell.
