The Assistant Program Manager will be focused on implementing a 2-Generational model designed to support whole families, with an emphasis on youth development. This position oversees and facilitates CHN's Summer Youth Challenge and other community engagement activities.This position requires alternative work availability to meet programming goals and resident needs. To ensure residents can access on-site supportive services, the Assistant Program Manager of Community Building and Engagement may be required to work on select evenings and/or weekends (with advance notice).CHN's Community Building and Engagement platform drives, enhances and deepens the connection between residents of CHN's housing and the organization's mission. Through this work, we seek to strengthen CHN's relationship with its tenants, foster resident leadership, and have a positive impact/be a value add to the communities we serve.The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with a passion for working with young people, and will possess experience in project management, and community outreach and engagement. The ideal candidate takes a human-centered and solution-driven approach to building relationships and networks, working collaboratively to help people reach their full potential.Strong ability to navigate and utilize systems, such as Salesforce and all Microsoft 365 applications, is preferred. The rate of pay for this position is $50,000 - 55,000 per year commensurate with experience (hourly; FLSA Non-Exempt)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Outreach & Communications Assist in organizing CBE events, including but not limited to raising awareness among CHN families and community partners. Build and sustain supportive relationships with CHN families, including but not limited to responding in a timely manner to requests and/or concerns, providing updates and feedback, and assessing community needs. Establish connections and foster collaborative partnerships with local businesses, organizations, agencies, and educational institutions to generate new opportunities.Project Management Manage day-to-day business related to CHN's Summer Youth Work Experience, including, Corresponding with program partners and participants Overseeing the intake and processing of participant in CHN's program and partner programs Creating, coordinating, and/or facilitating focus groups, workshops, trainings, and experiential learning opportunities for participants Providing guidance and/or coaching participants throughout pre-employment, employment, and post-employment Assisting in management of summer employment opportunities Assisting in the implementation of community engagement events throughout the year. Develop, organize, and implement regular CBE projects related to youth and family engagement and workforce development (e.g. Sherwin Williams Paint Program)Program Development Help establish vision, goals, and objectives of CHN's youth program Participate in and contribute to the strategic and operational discussions, as well as engage in the planning and implementation of the CBE development agendaEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:Required:Education: Associate's degreeExperience: 2-3 years of professional experience related to youth development capacity, including education, social work, career development, and/or related field 2-3 years of leading projects or programs from concept to implementation Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Experience in developing curriculums, trainings, and ladders of engagementSkills: Strong project management skills, including supporting and leading multifaceted projects Exposure to or experience in program development Self-directed, focused and detail-orientated when closing and completing work assignments Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Familiarity with city of Cleveland and its neighborhoodsWorking Conditions and/or Physical Requirements: Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
